Abstract:

Tau Leptons play a fundamental role in the ATLAS physics programme. Their large mass and ability to decay in hadrons, make it an extremely complex  experimental object.

In the past years, Tel Aviv University's group has been highly involved in both the performance and analysis with Tau Leptons.

I will present a summary of how the ATLAS Experiment deals with these objects, making particular emphasis in the current tau trigger as well as the plans for Run3 and the future. Also, I will mention the status of low pT boosted di-tau objects as part of the search for a low mass resonance produced in association with a pair of top quarks
