Personal Mentoring
Personal Mentoring
All first year students are assigned to a mentoring group, led by a faculty member. The content of the program is coordinated between the students and the faculty. Mentoring in small groups is designed to assist with the topics taught in classes, to initiate personal interaction between students and staff members, to create enriching discussions in modern topics Physics and more. At the beginning of each semester, students receive an email referral to the suitable mentor.

Marching together
In the "marching together" project, students, in their second or third B.Sc years act as tutors and accompany freshman students. The tutoring takes place in the first semester and provides an opportunity to foster interactions between students.
Tutors are selected after a screening and go through a training workshop during the summer. The training enables the tutors to acquire tools for guiding and assisting new students, especially in helping them acquire new skills and learning strategies related to academic studies, and more. The tutoring focuses on critical time points such as: creating a yearly timetable, registration to courses using the bidding system, coping with the first week of university studies and the first examination period.
Each student is assigned to a tutoring group before the beginning of school year, in accordance with his specific study program. A student who did not receive his tutoring group assignment, should contact Ronit Yona, students’ secretary - Tel. 03-6408619, email: ronity@tauex.tau.ac.il.
"End of Semester" Project
The School of Physics in cooperation with the Student Union, offers tutoring in small study groups, during the semester and towards the exam period.
