Physics Colloquium

Abstract:

I will discuss the progress on our understanding of the Universe at the most fundamental levels both in terms of the experimental exploration and in terms of persisting puzzles. We will explore the nature of space-time and gravity, dark matter and dark energy, the connections with the recently discovered Higgs boson and the exploration we are carrying out at the highest energies possible. The talk will include thoughts on the eternal question of the existence and the dynamics and mechanics of our cosmos as a complex quantum system.
