Tenure track faculty position in the Astrophysics Department at Tel Aviv University
The Astrophysics Department at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Tel Aviv University, invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We accept applications year-round, but recommend applying by November 15.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in physics or astrophysics, and significant postdoctoral research experience in theoretical, observational, or instrumental astronomy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, to lead an active research group involving M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, and postdocs, and to obtain external research funding. Note that teaching at Tel Aviv University is primarily in Hebrew. While excellent candidates who are not fluent in Hebrew will be considered, successful candidates will be expected to be able to teach in Hebrew after an adjustment period.
Applications should be sent by email to Ms. Daniella Gabrielovitch, and include a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief statement of current and future research. The candidate is also requested to arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be submitted (please include the applicant’s name in the subject line).
