Physics World magazine has chosen Prof. Rennan Barkana’s discovery as one of the top ten Breakthroughs of the Year in physics for 2018

Prof. Rennan Barkana showed that a surprising signal observed by the EDGES radio telescope could be the first proof of a non-gravitational interaction between dark matter and normal matter. Further observations are needed to confirm this idea, but this research could help resolve one of the most important unsolved mysteries of physics: what is the nature of the dark matter that fills the universe?
