Postdoctoral Fellows - Checklist for day of arrival

Shalom and Welcome,

Here are a few things to be taken care of as soon as possible:

1. Opening a bank account: please make sure you have with you:

   • A working mobile phone (you can purchase a sim card when you arrive)

   • Your TIN number for the bank forms (tax paying identification number)

   • The Tel Aviv acceptance letter

   • Your passport

   • An additional identification card with your photo.
     
     
     These are the banks that are closest to the dorms and offer to open bank accounts to foreign citizens:

     • Hapoalim bank, branch on 33 Aba Akhime'ir st.
        

     • Hapoalim Bank, branch on 43 Brodetski St.
        

     • Discount bank, branch on 34 Yehuda Ha-Nasi st. 
        

2. Activating your TAU email account and updating your bank details according to the instructions.
    

3. Registering for a Student Card.
    

4. Uploading your information for the TAU Physics Postdoc Website.
    

5. Registering for a Safety Guidance.
    

6. Short Orientation Visit with TAU International:

   TAU International office is the central office for all international students and researchers at the TAU community
