Congratulations to Prof. Gil Markovich on winning the 2018 Tenne Family Prize for Nanoscale Sciences, awarded by the Israel Chemical Society

Prof. Gil Markovich of the department of Physical Chemistry has been jointly awarded The 2018 Tenne Family Prize (in memory of Lea Tenne) for Nanoscale Sciences, for his contributions to the study of metal to insulator transitions in nanocrystals and to research of chirality at the nanoscale. Prof. Markovich’s main contributions to nanoscience are on magneto-transport and magneto-optical studies of magnetic nanocrystals, self-assembled metal nanowire films, and pioneering studies of chirality and optical activity in inorganic nanostructures.

The award ceremony will take place in February 2019, during the 84th ICS Annual Meeting.
