Abstract:
Astronomy identified two "new" research frontiers, time-domain studies and low surface brightness (LSB) features. I will explain why LSB galaxy investigations in the nearby Universe may benefit cosmology. I will present recent results obtained elsewhere and will explain how such studies are now performed at Wise. Finally, I will show some preliminary results from these studies.
