Research Fields - Quantum Information
updated: 16.11.2015
Quantum Information Theory is a new, contemporary discipline in physics that merges ideas from different areas of physics including quantum foundations, classical information and computation theories and the theory of relativity. In addition, theoretical work on the fundamental nature of quantum theory has led to new applied ideas, such as quantum computation and quantum simulation methods, quantum communication and cryptography, and many others.
