Congratulations to Prof. Abraham Nitzan on winning the 2019 Earle K. Plyler Prize for Molecular Spectroscopy & Dynamics awarded by the American Physical Society (APS)
Prof. Abraham Nitzan of the school of Chemistry
Prof. Abraham Nitzan, 2010 Israel Prize Recipient in Chemistry, who formerly served as Head of the School of Chemistry and as Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, received the 2019 Earle K. Plyler Prize for Molecular Spectroscopy & Dynamics.
The prize recognizes notable contributions to the field of molecular spectroscopy and dynamics, and has been awarded to Prof. Nitzan “for deep physical insights in the fields of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and molecular electronics”.
Prof. Nitzan’s research focuses on the interaction of light with molecular systems, chemical reactions in condensed phases and interfaces, and charge transfer processes in such environments.
