Congratulations to Prof. Emanuel Peled for receiving the prestigious Ministry of Defense (MAFAT) prize for creative thinking

Prof. Emanuel Peled from the School of Chemistry won the MAFAT prize for creative thinking. The prize, named after General Yaakov Toren (deceased), is awarded annually to researchers and teams from the defense industry and R&D institutes who made significant, groundbreaking contributions to defense R&D.

 

The Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure (abbreviated MAFAT) is a joint administrative body of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Israel Defense Forces that promotes the technological and scientific infrastructure needed for military research and development.

 

Prof. Emeritus Emanuel Peled, a world-renowned scientist in the field of fuel cells and batteries, was this year’s sole representative of the academia among the winners.
