Congratulation to Aviv Karnieli who won the IPS best thesis prize

Aviv Karnieli earned his PhD under the guidance of Prof. Ady Arie from the Physical Engineering Department at Tel Aviv University and Prof. Ido Kaminer from the Technion. His research focused on classical and quantum nonlinear optical interactions, as well as interactions between free electrons, light and matter. Throughout his studies, Aviv made significant contributions to the field, resulting in the publication of over 20 journal articles in prestigious Physics and Optics journals such as Science, Science Advances, Nature Communication, and Physical Review Letters. As the primary author in most of these papers, he played a pivotal role in the various research projects by proposing innovative research directions and leading them to successful outcomes. Aviv will continue to a postdoctoral studies at Stanford University.
