Abstract:

The recognition and proper description of quantum anomalies have been a pillar in the construction of quantum field theory. Aside from the axial anomaly, the consequences of quantum anomalies involving the spacetime geometry as mixed axial-gravitational or conformal anomalies, are more difficult to test in the high energy context. The advent of  Weyl semimetals in 2015 opened new ways to realize and evaluate anomaly related transport phenomena. In this talk I will describe novel response functions associated to varioUs anomalies in Dirac matter.
