Particle Physics Seminar

Abstract:

In this talk, I will discuss whether the Higgs sector is close to a quantum critical point with non-mean-field behavior, that is with non-trivial critical exponents and scaling dimensions. I will explain how to construct a low-energy effective theory for such a quantum critical Higgs and how to extract the critical exponents from LHC measurement and also from future collider experiments.
