Abstract:

Thin layers of superfluids with (p+ip) order parameter can exhibit interesting time-reversal odd transport that is absent in ordinary superfluids. We will see how to construct effective actions that capture this behavior taking into account all the underlying symmetries including boost invariance in clean systems. This will be done by considering the coupling to external background gauge fields and metric.
