Abstract:

We will discuss conformal field theories undergoing a quantum quench. One can study the effects of the driving quench process on the observables, such as the two-point correlation functions of the current and fermion operators. We demonstrate that such observables exhibit scaling behavior with respect to the quench rate, which is universally determined by the underlying conformal field theory.
