Abstract:
After introducing the concept of homeostatic pressure and showing that the most important feature for a tissue is not its growth rate at zero stress, I will discuss the effect of stress on growing cell spheroids, show that these spheroids have a local polar order and eventually discuss possible electric effects on the growth of thick epithelia.
