Organic Chemistry Seminar: Mechanistic Insight Leads to New Reactions

Abstract:

This talk will focus on a several new reactions discovered by our group based on careful mechanistic studies on enolonium species and the light induced activation of charge transfer complexes. It will include a number of results that I have not spoken about before, including preliminary results on the first umpolung Morita-Baylis-Hilman reaction and solar light assisted peptide synthesis. so I am excited to hear what people will have to suggest and ask!
