The Edmond J. Safra young researchers' forum organized a Zoom meeting with Dr. Iddo Weiner, former Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow and former committee member of the forum.
Iddo completed his PhD titled "Improving gene expression in microalgae harnessing computational modeling to overcome the heterologous gene expression barriers in microalgae" under the supervision of Edmond J. Safra member Prof. Tamir Tuller (Engineering) and Prof. Iftach Yakoby (Life Sciences). He is currently the director and head of Software dept. at BiomX Inc.
He shared his personal story about combining work with academic studies and moving into the industry.
