Announcing the winners of Collaborative Clinical Bioinformatics Research Grants

The Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics aims to promote excellence in clinical bioinformatics research by bringing together bioinformatics scientists and clinicians. This year, the Center, partnering with the Sackler School of Medicine, published a call for grants and provided for the first time seed research grants for the amount of 20,000 USD each. These grants aim to support fundamental and translational collaborative research that combines novel computational techniques and clinical applications.

We received 10 joint proposals from Edmond J. Safra PIs and TAU-affiliated hospital-based MDs. The proposals were evaluated by independent reviewers, and funding decisions were made by the grant committee of Profs. Elhanan Borenstein (TAU), Karen Avraham (TAU), and Michael Lishner (TAU & Meir Medical Center).

We are excited to announce the winners:

Uri Ben-David (School of Medicine, TAU) and Benjamin Dekel (Sheba Medical Center & School of Medicine, TAU)
