As part of the setting up of new topical IPS divisions, management of topical sessions (including abstract selection) will be handles by the 5 new divisions that are already operating:

  • Astrophysics, Planetary and Space Science (APSS)
  • Atomic and Molecular (AMO)
  • Condensed Matter physics (CM)
  • Non-Linear and biophysics

Members who do not consider their work to be within the domains of the above divisions, are invited to submit abstracts under the heading

  • Additional Physical Disciplines

Based on the abstracts received, additional topical sessions will be set up by the organizers.

We also plan to hold special sessions on

  • Physics in industry
