Welcome to "Flavor Physics & CP Violation 2011" (FPCP 2011). The 9th
meeting in the FPCP conference series will be held in Maale
Hachamisha, Israel, between May 23 and May 27, 2011. The meeting is
open to all. Talks will be by invitation only.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss experimental and theoretical
developments related to the physics of heavy flavors. Among the topics
included will be CP violation, rare decays, flavor beyond
the standard model and at the energy
frontier, spectroscopy, CKM elements,
and the potential for studies of heavy-flavor decays to help unravel
any new physics seen directly at the LHC.
The physics discussed at this meeting is directly related to the work
of Nambu, Kobayashi and Maskawa that lead to their
2008 Nobel Prize.
This conference series resulted from merging two separate series
covering much the same material. One was the bi-annual ``Heavy Flavor
Physics Conference" (founded by K. Schubert), that was centered in
Europe and the US, and the other the bi-annual ``International
Conference on B Physics and CP Violation" (founded by A.I. Sanda),
that was centered in Asia and the US.

Poster Session and financial aid:
Participants may submit abstracts for the Poster
Session. Please send the abstracts to
fpcp2011@tau.ac.il, with the
subject "FPCP poster abstract" in the email subject by April 23rd. We
will try to accommodate as many posters as possible, and will evaluate
each abstract before giving notification of acceptance.
Students or postdocs presenting a poster will
pay no registration fee if not participating in social activities
(please see the registration page
for details).
Venue: The conference will take place at the
Maale Hachamisha Hotel.
Registration: Please
register by April 23, 2011.
Registration after this date will be possible,
but we may not be able to ensure hotel rooms at the conference
venue.
The conference fee is 1300 NIS (~$350), and covers
all social activities.
The fee is to be paid in cash at registration.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept personal
checks or credit cards.
Visas:
Short-term visitors from many countries do not need a visa to
enter Israel. The complete visa requirements by country are listed at
the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site.
