The QCD theory group (Profs. E. Levin and A. Gotsman) have concentrated on two main topics: (i) developing an effective theory for high energy QCD; and (ii) building a model, based on theoretical achievements, for the description of the soft, long distance interaction, at high energies. Over the past five years they have considered, and found solutions for the following problems: (a) they have shown that the best candidate for the effective theory-Colour-Glass-Condensate (CGC) approach is equivalent to the BFKL Pomeron calculus, in a limited range of energies. This allows them to treat the processes of multi-particle generation and quasi-elastic processes on the same footing, and so expanding the horizon of CGC. (b) a new mechanism for the angular correlations in the CGC framework has been proposed which now allows one to discuss a wide range of experimental data for hadron-hadron, hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus interactions:(c) many aspects of Bose-Einstein correlations in QCD have been explored: (d) the production of a heavy quark system (J/Psi and other particles) have been considered in the CGC approach, and the equation for energy evolution has been derived. Regarding topic (ii) a model has been built which successfully describes data on the total, elastic and diffractive cross sections, as well as inclusive production of the soft interactions at high energies. This is the only model on the market which is successful in describing the above-mentioned soft interaction data.
